Drop Checker is an original glassware unit, designed to
indicate the CO 2 amount diluted within the water with color change of the pH
reagent inside, in order to understand the proper amount of CO 2 supply. You can
easily judge the proper CO 2 supply by comparing the color of reagent with pH
color test card.

User manual for Chameleon drop
checker
- Get some tap water or distilled water from the grocery store.
- Fill the drop checker bulb about 2/3 full of the water.
- Add about 3 drops of pH test reagent, to get a strong blue color, but not so
much that the water becomes opaque with the blue dye.
- Use the suction cup on the "drop checker" to suspend the device two or three
inches below the tank water surface, with the "horn" of the "drop checker"
pointing downwards. There should be air trapped in the horn. (Refer to picture
below)
- After a couple of hours, the color of the "drop checker" fluid will be at
equilibrium color.
Green color - 30 ppm of CO2 in the water. Good
dose of CO2.
Yellow color - More than 70 ppm of CO2(Dangerous level for fish).
Blue
color - 10 ppm of CO2, not enough CO2 for your plants.
